Workin on my pretaco right now and was wondering if anyone on here has done a z notch. Right now I'm down to the bare frame layin on my garage floor and it looks like I need to notch it at least an inch to lay flat, but i keep hearing you only need half an inch. Any ideas?

First of all, what part of the frame is not laying. Did you raise the tranny crossmember? If not do that first. Then if your front main crossmember that is between the a-arms is sitting on the ground but the frame is not then you will want to Z the front frame clip. Its a lot of work for so little but hell who cares.

Yeah, I have taken care of the tranny crossmember, and I'm gonna z the frame an inch today... It's alot of work, but the only way to lay rocker and bumper with a minimal amount of bodydrop. Here's a pic of a z notch done by IF Customs... It has to at least an inch or more.
