I was kind of hoping to do it before so that I'm not rubbing that bad on the trails. Or are you implying that it is something that we can do in a parking lot?? i have no clue.

Nah, I never like to rush a project on the truck, so I wouldn't want to do it in parking lot before wheeling. Plus, then we'd be missing wheeling time.

Honestly, I haven't done it. I don't rub hard enough to worry me. I rub more in the rear than I do the front. Ok, this is starting to sound bad

 

neat! that's simple enough. I saw over at ttora that a fella was running 307/70/16's on a xcab with only a 3" CF lift..........shouldn't i be able to clear 285/75/16's on stock or MT II's without problem with coil and shackles? i've been told absolutly no way i'll clear 33's without at least 5 inches and i could clear them ok (but lots of rubbing off road) stock. i think the truth is somewhere in the middle.

 

I run the 3" CF lift with 285's on stock wheels...I rub on occaision slightly...driver side front..only when I make a sharp left turn....BUT, I don't do any wheeling..

 

the key is that you could clear it, but you couldn't wheel... Basically you're fine when the suspension is high -- but under flex, you'll rub like crazy.

Andy (Inacoma) runs 33's with only a coilover up front...you might wanna ask him if he rubs...basically it just comes down to our trucks...some rub, some don't...

 

you could run 33" 's stock if you got the fiberglass wide body fenders, but at that point, you might just want to get the suspension lift. though im going to be getting both someday. lift first.

 

well Andy is runnin' 33's in the rear with NO lift n no bedsides....but I don't know what his rubbing situation is like which is why I told the guy to ask him...

 

i'm thinkin now that i'll just stick with stock ride height and 265/75s

MT II's would dress me up quite well though

 

andy rubbed like a b!tch with his 33s. when we were out there at hodge it was one of the things slowing him down. if you want to do some good offroading just get 265/75 tires. they're cheaper, they're better on gas, youll feel less of a power loss and they are big enough.

 

so 32's would be ok with just a 3 inch CF? how bad would those rub on the trails?

 

yes, that'd work, prolly wont rub at all.

 

i have no lift stock suspension and 32's and dont rub at all even under full flex.
