its possible... consult the dealership first... specificly the service writer. if he says it wont void the warranty, then GET IT IN WRITING and GET IT SIGNED, DATED, and BRING A WITNESS!

 

I would advise you to go and read the Magnusson-Moss Law.

It discusses how aftermarket mods will affect your warranty.

 

There is a law on the books now that states that if somthing goes wrong with your vehicle and the dealer won't honor the warranty, they have to prove that a modification could cause what is wrong with the vehicle. Or at least that is what i have been reading about.

 

toyota told me that installing an exhaust system on my truck would void the warranty, unless it was a TRD exhaust and it was installed by them

Just remember. The Act is not all mightly. The dealer will refuse to warranty any parts/repairs/services if they have solid evidence that an aftermarket installation of something had caused the damage.
