I've searched for this topic a million times and never found anything.

My a/c keeps ticking or rattling. It seems to be coming from down low. Reason I know its the a/c is because when I turn the fan on, the ticking starts up like a minature engine. tick....tick...tick..tick.tickticktickticktickticktick, and decelerates and stops when I turn the fan off. Its been going on now for about 1 month and its driving me insane! Anyone had or fixed this problem before? Please help me!

Sounds like you might have a problem with your blower motor. it's a barrel-fan in the A/C plenum that pushes air to the cabin past either the heater core (for heat) or the cold air... thing. I forgot the name of it.

Ditto. I never opened mine up but I just hit the blower on high then off then high a few times and it went away. Also had a squeaking coming from my back slider window. Couldn't see because of the shell on the bed but there was a twig between the bed and cab making the noise. Super annoying but easily overlooked.

Still Undrr Warranty?

Take it back to the dealer and have them fix/clean or what ever to it. If no warranty, get with someone who has taken the dash apart and check it out. You'll fix the problem and get more intimate knowledge of you Tacos Insides.:waytogo:

I took it apart just now. The squirrel cage is fine...no leaves or anything, but the small electric motor that turns it sqeaks a very high pitch sound at a certain point in its turn. I think the motor is either un-lubed or just needs to be replaced. Either way I'm not paying for it, the dealer is going to fix it tomorrow.
