Is it alright pour seafoam directly into each cylinder for optimum results? Any harmful effects?
Maintenence time!!! I'll be doing this weekend.. as well as using the Seafoam Transtune before replacing my atf with Amsoil.BoostError said:NO
Dribble it in via. the brake booster vacuum hose. Best way to "direct inject" it.
I changed my plugs a while ago at about 22k, running seafoam once a year at about 7k mile intervals, and they came out clean as a whistle. See for yourself:jbush27 said:has anyone had trouble with seafoam fouling your sparkplugs? I was doing a little research about it a little while ago and remember a couple of guys mentioning it.
More than likely Im going to try the Trans tune Seafoam since it is readily available at my local parts store. Let you know how well it goes.BoostError said:I've never tried the tranny stuff. I prefer to just abuse my tranny until it goes off like a mortar.
I don't dout it! I do it about every 15,000 or so and the smoke just rolls out. It seems like would ruin the cat but so far so good.kevinthefawker said:last time i seafoamed my truck somebody called the fire dept. but the truck was hiding in the garage lol
Well.. just finished my tranny fluid replacement. Didn't do a power flush.. just drained the pan. About 4 qts came out.BoostError said:I've never tried the tranny stuff. I prefer to just abuse my tranny until it goes off like a mortar.
Nah, the gasoline octane rating has nothing to do with its cleaning abilities. If anything, its worse for your engine because its designed for the faster burning 87 octane. Make sure you do the seafoam on a hot engine. I have a feeling your engine was cool, that's why you didn't get a lot of smoke.TACOMATruckin98 said:yeah, i did it last night, i dont think ill do it again, i guess that premium gas cleans the engine pretty good, it only smoked for about 100 feet...and it would make a funny click(not the shifting) every time is shifted...and it sounded almost like it was knocking a little, but today, no trouble...
