first what you should do is look up the"Deckplate mod" in the tech section- then look up hotshot headers, and an Alpine s/c... there you go...

From one noob to another I'm gonna tell ya you need to search a little bit harder. I've only been with this particular forum for a couple months and have seen this very topic beat literally to death. With that said I hate when that's all I get for a response is to search so here's my 2 cents.

The K&N is louder than the Volant. Most people here will tell you K&N makes crappy filters. I have had one in my 94 Toy for 100K with no problems whatsoever. I just installed a Volant on my 06 Taco and was not overly impressed but I liked the idea of having the airbox rather than just a cone filter sticking out there. For your particular engine I'd research and do the deckplate mod and put in an Amsoil drop in filter and call it good.
