Ok, So last night, I took my truck back to racelegal, at Qualcomm stadium.. It's an 8th mile drag, at the stadium, aimed to get people off of street racing, and on to the track. I WAS GETTING PICKED ON ALL NIGHT!!:eyecrazy: .. I think everyone who brought a truck wanted to race me! everyone was comming up to my truck asking to race! lol.. but I had a pretty good night, seeing as traction was horrible compared to the last time I was there.. I was there from 7 to 11PM, and made 10 runs!:runaway: lol.. I guess I got a lil' excited.. My XR has a K&N intake, and a URD shorft shifter, and my friend on the passenger seat (she was my camerawoman.)
I guess what I really liked about the night, was that I was consistent.. all my times are within 3/10ths of each other.. I don't know if it would mean anything to y'all, but here's the results, race by race.. I will put my times first, then the opponent's..

7:19PM:
XR vs. Eagle Talon Tsi Turbo
Rt: .689 - 1.140
60ft: 2.363- 2.460
MPH:71.20 - 65.50
ET: 10.105 - 10.339
I win by .685

7:25PM
XR vs. David Park's fairlady 300zx Turbo
RT: .796 - 1.013
60ft: 2.377 - 2.335
mph: 69.98 - 68.38
et: 10.298 - 10.229
I win by .148
(this was strictly driver vs. driver..I missed 2nd gear. His car easily outclasses me.)

7:33PM
XR vs. Dodge Ram SRT10
RT: .725 - .813
60ft: 2.371 - 2.341
mph: 70.75 - 71.09
et: 10.310 - 10.020
Dodge wins by .202
(I would have paid for a rematch on this one! I missed 2nd gear, and it lost me 3/10ths! This guy looked so kick back in his car.. I tried talking to him afterwards, old man didn't seem like he wanted to chat.. oh well:shrug: .. Nice @$$ truck tho! if this was a quarter mile, he would have beaten me by car lengths. This truck later that night did a 9.7)

7:43PM
XR vs. Nissan Titan(20" rims, magnaflow catback)
rt: .772 - .842
60ft: 2.314 - 2.648
mph: 70.97 - 62.24
et: 10.050 - 11.061
I win by 1.081
(I missed 2nd gear again. he had to stop me on my way out, just to check my car.. he wouldn't believe I was an N/A 6cyl.. He swore all XR's came stock w/ a supercharger=X.. lol.. he couldn't believe it would go that fast n/a)

8:47PM
XR vs. 2004 Saleen Mustang
RT: .708 - .450
60ft: 2.318 - 2.556
mph: 71.20 - 77.99
et: 10.009 - 9.511
I win by -.756 DQ to his red light..
(this thing looked crazy fast, but he red-lighted.. he didn't pull on me until after half track tho.. I missed 3rd gear, but was able to recover quick.)

9:03
XR vs. 98 body style tacoma 4cyl..
RT: .944 - .839
60ft: 2.353 - 2.788
mph: 70.75 - 67.87
et: 10.055 - 10.899
I win by .739..
(talked to him during tech inspection. nice guy.. asked him to joinn CT forum.. heheh.. hope to see him here soon.)

9:34
XR vs. Dodge Ram Rumble Bee:
rt: .673 - 1.282
60ft: 2.253 - 2.392
mph: 69.98 - 65.98
et: 9.905 - 10.602
I win by 1.306
(old man, casually smoking his pipe while racing.. lol.. None one of his best runs. I've seen this guy run a 10.03 while I was spectating. kinda made me feel bad about my win.. lol.)

9:55
XR vs. late '80's F150
RT: 1.046 - .972
60ft: 2.335 - 2.401
mph: 71.20 - 66.46
et: 9.941 - 10.446
I win by .431
(this thing was an offroad truck.. complete w/ lift, roll bars, and 2 full mud spares in the back.. He kept staring at me on the line like he was gonna eat me.. lol.. but I think he just likes my girl on my passenger seat. I was still trying to stage when the tree started going, so I had to go frmo reverse to drive asap, hence the bad reaction time:brickknoc ) lol

10:29
XR vs. my friend J-Bo's EG6 Civic w/ a full blown Civic Type R motor.
RT: .773 - .447
60ft: 2.265 - 2.419
mph: 70.97 - 75.88
et: 9.858 - 9.542
I win cuz he redlighted:
(This Civic is crazy fast! it goes 8.7's w/ slicks. he was able to hit a 9.2 on street tires last night vs. that Saleen that beat me.. REVENGE! lol..)

10:46
XR vs Silverado SS (CAI, catback exhaust, and corvette rear end gearing?)
RT: .617 - .869
60ft: 2.350 - 2.554
mph: 71.42 - 66.86
et: 9.9981 - 10.719
I win by .990
(cool guy, after the race goes to me "couldn't talk your car down for me a little bit?" lol.. I guess he had the corvette gearing on his rear diffs? I have no idea..)

11:00 PM
Bye run, but it was my best time of the night..
rt: .705
60ft: 2.263
mph: 71.54
et 9.818!!!
(see what happens if you can shift properly w/ out babying it?! heheh.. yup.)

Overall, good night, u really can't beat having a date at the race track, w/ the girl beside you all excited about it n' all.. heheh.. I'd put up the videos, but it was blurry for the most part, and all u'd hear is me pissin' moanin, cussin', and $8!t talkin' at my opponents who I kno can't hear me.. lol.. I suggest people come to this.. it's a melting pot of people who want to drag race.. U see every shape and size cars/trucks/motorcycles around! but it was some serious fun=)

that guy with the supra can't drive for sh!t, he was doing sh!tty all night. also i think the pre taco is just a turbo 22r or re. i'll race my truck next time so i can run you in your X, and the guy with the white 01-04 taco, and the guy in the black pre taco.

heheh.. I'll see u there on friday bro=).. Go easy on me=P.. heheh.. I suck as a driver.. lol.. but yeah, this friday should be fun if we can get more Tacomas to come out, and show force.. It would be great also for comparison purposes, seeing as we have so many debates about speeds of specific trucks vs. other tacomas on here.. of course driver skill comes into play, but it would be a nice baseline.. what u rockin' in that thing twoarezee?

I might have to call BS on a couple of your runs there dude, your saying a SRT10, 505 hp only got a 20 second 1/4? My dad had one of those, now has a SRT-8 Jeep, and I saw one at the Fontana Legals on Sat. It ran a 13.6 1/4 mile.:jawdrop: , I have video too. And your telling me it only won you by .202? IDK about that, you maaaaybe have 250-60hp after your mods. Unless he was spinning his tires at the line for 10 seconds!! And your stats also tell me that the 4cyl. taco was only .2 slower than the SS Silverado!! Whats up with that?  Correct me if I'm wrong though.

you dont take an 1/8mile time and double it. just cause it ran like a 10.03 doesnt mean its going to run a 20sec 1/4

dang.. I wish I had pictures.. I don't know what happened, the driver was pretty chill in there.. Like I said on my post, he pulled a 9.7 when I was just spectating, and I know he probably can do better.. I'll post up the time slips to show you, but it wouldn't make a difference, it doesn't have the car's name on the time slip.. I tried talkin' to the guy, but he didn't seem to wanna talk.. I just kno it by the badge on the back of his truck. Also pls. notice, the Saleen only did a 9.5.. 1/8th mile isn't that far off the jump.. I don't doubt he'd do 13's on the qtr, even after a high 9 1/8th..

So what is the calculation then? Last I checked 1/8 was half of 1/4?

So you guys are telling me a 400hp Saleen Mustang can't run 13's?:silly:

Even if I am wrong in the 1/8 to 1/4 calculation. How is your 250-260hp X almost beating a 505 hp, 525lb.ft. trq. SRT-10? Or a Saleen or any of the others? They are all torque monsters, if anything you would come back a little bit mid track, not off the line!!

yes.. 1/8th is half of the quarter.. but u don't stop mid track, then go again:p:looney: .. by the time u hit 1/8th mile, ur already going in excess of 70 80 or 90mph, etc... so naturally, it would take a significantly less amount of time to get through the 2nd half of the track, as opposed to the first.. so :nana:

Yes, that's correct, someone was awake in physics!! Yes, momentum and inertia will keep your speed higher, so you still almost beat a SRT-10, Silverado SS, all of which have a 100hp on you? SRT-10 Curb weight, 5100 lbs, 505hp equals a ratio of 10.0lb to 1. Saleen is 500hp as well, with a curb weight of 3,400 lbs, giving it a ratio of 6.7lb. to 1hp. And your X, (without passenger), is 3700, and 250hp, gives you 14.8lb. to 1 hp. Now tell me your still .2 away from the SRT-10 and won the Mustang? I don't think so, thats without the extra 100lbs. of girlfriend weight!! Bad drivers or not.

fast cars done equal fast times. my first outing at my local track, there was a srt quad cab ram running with a turbo, pulling 14.9 at 99. that is so sad. wish i had my sc back then to really ruin his day
Never heard a V-10 Turbo?

I remember to tell the Saleen S7 owners at the Irvine store, that there fast car doesn't mean they are fast! Last time I remember, a 1000hp car was fast. But hey, thats just my opinion.

intake and exhaust, my best 1/8 time from CA speedway is 10.4 with ****ty R/T and quite a bit of wheel spin (as usual). i could probably do better with nicer tires.

Ok, The SS, yes I beat him.. hands down, but almost a second! This surprised me too, but hell, I'll take it=).. 2nd, I beat the mustang by default!! HE REDLIGHTED!!! he still ran a 9.5et, which is still .3 seconds faster than my fastest time that night.. here u go, for comparison purposes.. this is a link to a guy, w/ a SRT10, who ran under perfect conditions, w/ 1/8th mile times.. http://www.dragtimes.com/Dodge-RAM-SRT10-Timeslip-10652.htmlhttp://www.dragtimes.com/Dodge-RAM-SRT10-Timeslip-10459.html.. Now I know it's a full second off of our times, but factor in our race was at night, at a parking lot, and driver skill.. I'm not saying the SRT10 isn't balls fast.. of course it is.. but this particular night, at that particular time, in those 10 seconds I was in it, I wasn't too far off from one.. I just luv da fact that I actually got to race one

I agree, you did get some cool races. You definitely wouldn't get that sorta competition on the street!! One of the guys out here got a 14.9-15.1 I think on the quarter, thats with a 60mph headwind!!

My first trip, I was diong 1.08's, and 9.5 reaction times.. 2nd time around, I was hittin' .6's that's my real goal, is to hit .5's.. Hopefully next time around.. It's scary jumping off the line before u see the green, but u really can't wait for it=P.. heheh.. see u Friday bro? PM me ur cell number or something, I'll give u mine, then we can meet up at the Q...
