this question goes to the braddah's that relocated there handle. is there any other brand's besides sir micheals? how much do they run for. and is the installation pretty easy?

its about 50 bucks for the kit... as for other brands i dont know....i haven done the install on mine yet but to cover the hole they give u a sheet of metal and you weld it at every x amount inch and u fill in the gaps and sand it down...check out sir micheals website

Why buy one? Before I welded mine shut I just cut into the existing one. If you cut out your og handle,( all the way around the hand slot), in a perfect square.... just weld it into that panel on the inside of the tailgate. You dont need to buy anything to relocate your handle... except for a scrap piece of sheet metal

the only problem with cutting out the handle mount piece section is that you increase the amount of warpage while welding. I am going to try to get a scrapped gate to cut the piece from it and only partially remove the original.
