According to the FSM, there is a bolt on the top that is near the bellhousing of the transmision...

How do I reach that bolt...or what is the easiest way?

socket w/ extention
Extension won't do jack ****..
you need a long breaker bar to reach through the engine bay
or just do little by little through underneith.

I finally got it, took like 30 minutes of wrenching...barely any room to turn the socket
i remember when i had to do that to my old 2rz...what a pain in the ass...way to go Toyota engineers:cussing:
local stealership want's $35:brickknoc

you thin kragen or monument auto parts would have contacts:shrug:
i just cleaned mine and bent them a bit so they make better contact...
Yeah, well I'm broke as hell right now..

so I just cleaned everything up real well, installed it back and torqued it to FSM specs..

*Note* if you have skinny arms and don't work out...then you can tighten the top bolt by hand and most likely unbolt it to..
through the TOP of engine bay.

saved me like 30 mins of headache wrenching..

it's a TIGHT fit and your arm will be crushed by some kind of line..that leads to the intake manifold..and a little canister
but well worth it.

starts 1st try everytime now..hopefully it will hold me off a while...till I can replace the stuff

Why did you try from the top? Its like a 10min removal from underneath.
I dont know about 2RZ's but I did mine on my 3RZ through the wheel well and it took about 15 minutes.

It takes hardly anytime at all.

Because I don't have a long enough breaker bar to reach through anywhere

and brake lines were in the way no matter what

and the wheel well is even worst if you don't have a long enough breaker bar/ratchet

:doah:
ah........ your puny girl arms are making it where a socket wont work....... didnt factor that in
Jack it up, lay underneath, and it is staring you in the face, pretty easy actually, also dont forget to remove the batt cable unless you like light shows...

Too late already did it.

It's hard to remove when you don't have the correct tools(swivel, skinny long breaker bar..etc)
