Where can I get some really cheap stainless steel 2.5" tubing for my custom exhaust build? T-409 or 304, I don't care -- lemme see em' both.

Man, I wonder how much I need from the DP back...

Their 90's

These guys are GREAT, I've used them ALOT... They also have all the different sized 1.25,1.5,1.75" etc. Weldable stainless weld el's to build your own headers super cheap...

They ship super fast, I usually have my stuff in 2-3 days... I use their stainless for all my customers.. It's nice heavier 16 gauge, it welds really nice, the mandrel bends are "perfectly round" all the way through the bend. They cut nice on my bandsaw as well
Oh wow, thanks for all the replies guys. Cruzn, it says that they are "welded stainless steel tube" -- being relatively stupid when it comes to this, are these tubes still able to be mandrel bent?

I plan on taking these tubes, along with my Magnaflow Hi-Flow Cat, 6x10, and 4x9 to a shop to have them weld it up for me. I caught some static from this jerk-off who wondered why I didn't buy the full Magnaflow kit... when this job is obviously custom, and the fact that I need it to start from the DP back. Then he started talking about how "expensive" stainless steel tubing is... christ. In any event, I'm taking my business elsewhere.
should have no problems putting that tubing through a mandrel bender... though if you should run into problems, you can always buy stainless weld elbows...

Is this an uncommon task for an exhaust shop to do? I mean, all I want is 2.5" stainless steel from my DP back using my hi-flow cat, 6x10, and 4x9. They have to bend maybe one piece to do that bump over the rear axle, but thats it. How much should it run me, if I supply the mufflers, cat, and piping?
your average muffler shop is NOT going to have a mandrel bender either. They are going to crush the **** out of all your piping. Yeah it's uncommon for exhaust shops to do that type of work. A performance shop that does the type of work would be your best bet
Race Part Solutions has a bunch of custom mandrel bends at good prices. hey Cruzn, i also live in P.S.L

I know Darin very well, I just bought 500 bucks worth of stuff from him yesterday for mitzu's turbo build I'm going.. I use racepart solutions for every thing except bends... All my flanges, couplers, clamps, adapters, fittings, oil lines, flex sections, etc. etc. are all from dman. Great business with fantastic customer service. www.racepartsolutions.com

when you movin to the new place?

stoner, i could have used some free mandrel bends
In a few months. Theres a specific place I'm waiting for I.E. CHEAP it'll be a tiny little place, big enough to run the dyno in. Thats all I really care about
Ack! Do you think it would be an unwise decision to just say screw it and have a muffler show use aluminized tubing?
If your going to do it, do it up proper with stainless..
find a reputable shop and do it..
Do it once and call it done..

I plan on doing a stainless exhaust in the near future for some performance and mostly to kill off any rusting ability, its harsh out here with the snow/salt..

my ceramic coated exhaust isn't looking all too pretty LOL
I'm planning on using stainless V band clamps as well..

off of Tulip and Paar, in the estate section before Darwin. on my buddies Mustang, we used alot of parts from RPS, great product and prices. do you know Tom, he does alot of 4 cylinder crap off of Village Green Drive. we had my buddy's mustang dynoed there he layed down 1017 rear wheel horse power at 23 PSI, we are gonna take the car there this weekend and crank up the boost. if you get a dyno, spend the extra money and get a Mustang Dyno with a break, some of the best dyno's that give accurate readings.

chris, if rust is your concern, you'll need to buy 316 stainless piping. 304 is not resistant to salt.

OP, no worries about weather in texas... I'd just use aluminized. you can buy mandrel bends from just about anywhere.

I truely had no idea.. I'm glad you jumped in now so I know for when the job comes.

I think you do stainless fabrication for food stuff if memory serves me..

Thats what I would do, just make the downpipe from stainless until it dumps under the truck, put a flex joint there and go aluminized from that point on, thats what I did.
