SR: More QA1 questions and input needed

Has anyone tried contacting QA1 to see if they have anything that is dampenable or adjustable for the back that might bolt onto our backs? I saw someone asking the same thing on the Poppyseed thread. Or if there's anything that could be modified to work to work on our trucks with maybe a Beefed part or something? I'm ready to lower my truck some more and close up some of the wheel gap, but I drive it everyday and it's already soft in the rear with just the 3 inch drop and the roads around here are horrible with pot holes. I wanna do the QA1's for the front, but I wanna do something for the back at the same time, since I don't have a beater at the moment and would need to knock it out over a weekend. Any updates on the 4-link, Beefed? Sorry for all of the questions. I know everyone is different things. I'm thinking of going QA1's for the front and 4 inch Beefed blocks in the back with those Poppyseed Monroe Load shocks and adding a 1/2 inch spacer to the front wheels. My current setup is Belltech springs in the front, 3 inch Beefed blocks in the back, lowered bumpstops all around, and Monomaxes all around. My wheels are 18x8 +48 Fronts and 18x9 +50 Rears with 224/45/18 in the front and 255/40/18 in the rear. I trimmed the sheet metal at the tops of the rear wheel wells that stick out past the fender flares when they were cutting up my previous tires. I have about 3 fingers of wheel gap now and want to get down to about 1 finger of wheel gap. What would be the best way to get there and keep it as stiff as possible? Wait for the 4-link or is the 4-link not needed to go down a little bit more? Here's a pic of the way it sits now with mad wheel gap. Thanks in advance for the input!

I dont know if this helps but this my daily with a c notch from Beefed. I have 4 inch blocks with middle leaf pulled. I just installed a 11/2 inch steel block between the my block and leafs on the passenger side to cure the Taco lean. I then will install a 5/8 inch block to the drivers side to eventually be at almost 9 in the rear. The only thing that needs a mod right now is my exhaust pipe which will need a serious bend over the axle to clear. I will have pics up soon with my mod. These pics are of the rear without these steel small blocks. Hope that can get rid of your wheel gap.:waytogo:Oh before I forget I have toxic drop shocks and I have a very stiff ride.:headbang:

anything is possible with a little thought process the right research and a welder :D

ive also been looking at the catologs at work and poked around some of the QA1 stuff..... they seem to make fully adjustable shocks with most commonly found stroke lengths so im sure you can find something to suit your needs. adjustable comp. and rebound would be nice for full front and rear tune.

Yeah, I was on there too and couldn't make heads or tails out of anything. Does anyone know the length and specs of our shocks or the length and specs of some made for our lowered trucks? Thanks for the feedback guys. Keep it coming.
i dont know off the top of my head but i know there has been discussion inthe past regarding rear shock length. if you searched long enough you'll find it.

also, qa1 does offer loop-loop shocks so so long as someone were to buy the correct length those should fit fine. also to save you some money as yankee said, toxics are very stiff shocks. i actually prefer calmax shocks (offered by djm)... pretty much the same idea, but my old txocs blew out on me and these calmax shocks seems bullet proof.
For my 4-link I ordered I believe 12in compressed double eyelet shock. It was a generic when I found it. I called them and talked to the rep. and told him what I was looking for when he found it and gave me a part number. I believe the part number is in my suspension thread. I will try to look through to see if I can find it. BTW, truck is looking good :waytogo:

Thanks, man! Same to you! I need to find a clear third brake light lens like yours. It looks great!
Appreciate it, btw here is the link with the pics. If you go back a couple of pages it gives the specs.

I didn't realize all those pics were in there. Thanks! What's the most you can lower the front end with the QA1's? I saw you're un-bj flipped like me and said 3 inches on the ones you bought. Are there other QA1's that let you go a little lower?
If you get the 8in spring instead of the 10in it'll give you some more room to play with.
im liking the monroe shocks being renamed poppyseed monroe shocks :D
make sure you measure both sides, center of eye to center of eye , my truck was about 3/4 longer on the pass. side I had to cut and weld to make it work
