SR: Body Kit / Ground Effects: TRD

... Is the kit an actual bumper or does the kit cover the bumper?
SR: Body Kit / Ground Effects: TRD

From the looks of it, the front airdam replaces the lower plastic portion of the bumper... the metal part remains the same. You'd also need the plastic pieces on top of the bumper, if you were to swap 'em.

You should be able to get it through the local Toyota dealership. I'm not sure if anyone else has it cheaper out there. You may also want to check out the Toyota Guys website in the Links section.

I've not seen the kit in person, but when I look at the front, I think "Darth Vader"... Besides, I'm not willing to lose my Hella lights mounted up front for looks. I NEED those lights!
S-Runner Ground Effects

Does anybody know how much lower the S-Runner ground effects will make the truck sit? I have a 2/3 drop right now and I'm wondering how close to the ground the body kit will sit when I put it on. I've seen the pics of the kit on new 2001 trucks, but I don't know what the kit will look like on a lowered truck. Does anybody know or can someobody that already has it go and measure the height of the actual side skirt? I'd appreciate any info. I want to find out, because I don't want the kit sitting on the ground, but I don't want to put my truck back to factory height. I'm hoping that I can leave it at 2/3 drop but still have enough ground clearance to not scrape on everything. If I have to, I'll change it to a 1/2 drop. Thanks.....Rich
Re: S-Runner Ground Effects

What size rims are you rolling on? Cause you should be fine..
Re: S-Runner Ground Effects

Right now I have 16's with 225-55--16 tires. I'm going to switch to 17's with a 235-45-17 tires after I get the body kit though.
Re: S-Runner Ground Effects

You'll be fine, you'll end up prolly wanting to take it down lower..
TRD body kit!

Re: TRD body kit!

Re: TRD body kit!

Yea, it does look good. Now what are the rear 2 pieces gonna look like? And how far are they gonna hang down? Supossed to be even with the side skirts or are they gonna curve upwards with the body?
Re: TRD body kit!

they angle up towards the back and come to a point as they wrap around, slightly similar in design to other TRD rear body kit pieces, (celica, corolla s, etc.) p.s. no s-runner here, but i decided to "make my own" since the runners we had here at work when i bought the silver one were out of my price range.....like 20k + i got mine for like 16k. toyota motorcredit wouldn't give me 20 grand, or my truck would be a real s-runner, that's ok...cuz i love my truck that i got now and that's what counts, right??
putting it on...

hey, i was wondering if any of u guys have ever put on the srunner body kit... i was wondering if its a hard install or if i could do it on my own... thanks..
Re: putting it on...

Check with TOYDLF, he put the kit on himself. I think it took him like 2 hours for the 5 piece. Looks great.
Re: putting it on...

yes, dan's taco is soooo nice, i love the way the kit looks on it. looks even better in person.
Re: TRD body kit!

can i have the rear pieces ? what are they made out of?
Re: TRD body kit!

SRUNNER made the TRD body kits out of fiberglass and he will be bringing them with him to Fontana on the 17th. He said that they would fit any tacoma! PM him or I will call him if you want! Let me know! He wants $800 for all 7 peices!
