I used to live in San Antonio, where if it iced in the Winter they would close the interstates due to driver's not knowing how to drive on icy roads.:looney: Still cool that it snowed there.

I got snow also! I live in Fort Worth (Haslet/Saginaw) area. I have a 01 Prerunner. I got stuck in my driveway I had to keep backing up and going forward.

What would be more beneficial in getting around in this snow/slush?
Any 4x4 model
TRD off-road
TRD Sport

Well, I've got the 4x4 TRD Off-Road. I've never yet met a snow storm I couldn't handle. I do a lot of off road driving in Colorado at various times of the year. The Mud-Terrain tires help a lot too... :waytogo: For me, this was a lot of fun. I was kickin that snow's ass. :headbang:

I would say four wheel drive has a significant advantage over any two wheel drive with a locker. Having a locker on snow-covered pavement tends to make the back end squirrely. Having four wheel drive really helps with the steering aspect and keeping the rear end under control.


Y'all enjoy the snow but be careful. Driving on ice and snow is a lot like sex, one slip and you can really mess up someone's rearend. :waytogo:
