So.....50-trim or 57-trim

So yea, like the title states, looking for suggestions on what trim I should go with. I ran the numbers, and this is what it comes out too:

Using the following formula:

( cid X .5 X Ve X rpm ) / 1728 = cfm
( 14.7 + psi ) / 14.7 = P.R. (press. ratio)

P.R x CFM = boosted CFM

boosted CFM / 13 = lbs/min

cid=164.764

cfm=266.025

p.r.=1.816

483 boosted cfm

37.15=lbs/min

This is based on a VE of 90% and peak boost of 12psi.

Suggestions?

Thanks in advance,

Both are good choices buy the 57 will give you more up top
57 all the way!!! You won't regret it.
Yep like they said, you know your going to turn it up eventually, and if you say your not........your lying. :evil:
Thanks guys,

;)

Tuning suggestions?

I was seriously considering an AEM FIC unit with a PNP harness but looking at the Split Second MAF Calibrator this looks like it will work just as well.

Thoughts?

I know ultimate tuning is best with a standalone....but well, ya know...

Haltech PS 1000 FTW!!!! I tried the piggybacks only to be disapointed when the "trims" screwed everything up, in my experience the piggys work maybe at low boost but when your running 12+ a standalone becomes necessary.
IF you are going piggyback get the FIC its got alot it can do in one unit for being a piggyback compared to others that need to add other piggybacks........I only paid 320 shipped for mine........I has a timing map, MAF map, Fuel map, MAP map, 02 map, analog A map, anolog B map..........and other stuff like RPM, AFR and load guages......I just put mine in and am getting to know the program.......but it seems pretty easy to use coming form a guy who is new to tuning.......I wired it myself with zero problems:waytogo:

Thats what I thought when I was running the Greedy Emanage Ultimate it is a very good controller, but once you turn it up, things arent so easy, like I said in one of the earlier posts they work great until your in the 15psi range, as I found out.

But maybe others have better luck with other piggys than I did.

Maybe you aren't very elite. :nana:
