Yeap, if you want something done right, you do it yourself. That's what I always say.

Howdy fellers,
I gots me a new fuel filter installed.
Pain in the rear but got it done none the less.
You guys know Im the local idiot so if I can do it anyone can.
After 206k + miles on my 02 xcab its no wonder black fuel came out of the filter.
AFR + rear 02 sensors in the coming week will be replaced with factory Denso brand.
I think they are bad but after this many miles its time I replace them.
I went with Tacoma SST wheels recently and digging that.
Truck seems to be a little more responsive after removing the chromed steel wheels(for sale cheap).
I have the rough idle for the first 15 seconds at startup.
Truck runs like crap after 15k miles on new denso plugs.....replace them and it runs good again. (possible 02 sensor issue?)
My brothers 2000 Taco 4x4 2.7 has over 260k with the original spark plugs and belts.:jawdrop:
I couldnt have made it as far as I have without this forum and great guys here.
I recently picked up FSM manuals vol 1, vol2, and electrical manual.
All oem taco stuff. $75.00 like brand new from CL. :waytogo:
Guess what fer? Yep! 02 Tacoma.
I was talking to my gramdma the other day the other day about trading in her Cadillac SUV for a new Landcruiser and you know what she said to me? Close the door...Im trying to poop! Old folks just wont give up em Cadillacs and they are such crap.
Anyhoo, Just wanted to say thanks to you guys again for all the help.
Im getting pretty good at doing things myself to my truck now.
For 40 years I have paid someone to do things I could have done myself.
I had utter disdain for anything that wasnt network or telephony engineering.
Reality is sometimes, well most times different that what I think it is.
I actually felt better about about changing my own plugs for the first time than when I repaired a system in 6hrs that several engineers couldnt fix in a week.
I dont have to try dog poop to know I wouldnt like it, but with mechanic work I tried it and liked it thinking exactly the opposite of course.
I figure if I was smart...I'da known that.
