I was wondering if anybody here as import seats(civic, prelude, etc.) in their tacos. If you do , how hard were they to mount? Do you cut out the support for the original seats or leave it in? I was wondering about stock Taco bucket seats. Are they comfortable or hard as a rock like the stock bench? Will they be in the upright postion in a standard cab or can you lay them back some? All i know is i got to get rid of the stock bench.

Thanks for the help.

I have a 99 Taco with buckets, they don't have a lot of bolster in them, and thus not much lateral stability. If you want to change to some other seats, I would try Honda Civic seats, they have good side bolsters and should be plentifull in salvage yards. I am pretty sure that they have a similar mounting setup as a Tacoma, if not try to change the seat rails underneath from Tacoma buckets.

I've tried to put in 96 civic dx h/b seats in, no avail, bolt patterns are way to off, back 2 are fine, just the fronts. To get the stock rails to go on the civic is alot of hassel. I just said screw it till i can find me some s-runner buckets or something. Corbeau has some nice seats, if you got $700ish to spend on butt cheek rests.
