hmmmm....that would be sweet and its crossed my mind quiet a few times. I know of only ONE TACO that has that engine swap and i, IN PERSON, saw it run the quarter mile in 8.05 (first and only run that day). The taco is owned by the Venom Racing. I'm pretty sure you've heard of that performance company. The truck is pretty sweet but i noticed that the front end was extended. I'm not sure if it was to fit the engine. You might want to look up their site to check out the pics. Later.

There's only one major issue. The supra has a straight six and it's too long for the engine comparment on the tacoma. Unless you plan on hollowing it out, I would stick with the V6 and get turbos for it! Now that can definitely be done!

It's funny this topic should come up. I was cruising the net the other day and saw a 4 Runner with a swapped in Supra engine. I don't recall it being the twin turbo, but it still looked like a hell of a fit. Tight on all sides. I think I used a search engine on "tacoma modifications"

I have had the pleasure of taking out a 5.0 Saleen thanks to my supercharger. The guy was fairly upset. Ahhh, such good memories...

From what I have read, the best thing seems to be the supercharger. Then you could do the internals or add some nitrous. No one makes a turbo "kit" for the v6. EL Prototypes sells all upgraded internals. gadgetonline.com for plenty of info on the 3.4 v6 and superchargers.

If one had the excess cash your V6 could likely be bored and stroked at a performance machine shop, filled with alot of performance guts, and possibly modify some sort of forced induction system. Horsepower = Money!

it's not too hard to do a supra TT eng. swap. from what i know, the 2jz-GTE fits into our eng. bays snuggly, weld 2 more motor mounts. and switch from a clutch fan to a eletric because there's not enough room, the eng. bolts into our trannys. and the ecu wiring is not hard because toyota keeps the color wiring mostly the same. i've got a mag with it done in a 90' ish ext. cab pickup, front mount innercooler ect... it can be done, just you need alot of money. around the $7000 range just for the supra TT motor,
