rear LT

I'm going to be ordering my engage front lt kit in a few months. I'm also going to get a bed cage in the rear and had some questions.
What are the differences between the deaver f55's and the f67's?
I'm also still debating on whether or not I want to spend the extra money on 2 tube bypasses or if I should just buy some smooth bodies. What do you guys think? The price for the bypasses is $1120 and the price for the smooth bodies is $820 with piggy backs.
Also, what size shackles should I be using?
Thanks for any help guys

f67 sits higher about 1.5 inches than f55. if you go with engage, you can just get the 50t race pack that they sell. smooth bodies will be cheaper but you have to valve them correctly. bypasses are better of course but almost double or triple the price. you will probably use 12in shackle over the frame.

can you explain? You can tune a smooth body to be just as good as a bypass as long as you have the time to mess with valving. Shims are cheap and you dont waist that much oil doing so. The plus side to a bypass is its easier to tune.

I know about the 50t and I have heard great things about them. But I have heard that they lift the rear too much so thats why I want deavers. Can you get the same amount of travel out of the f55's as you can with the f67's?
I guess I'll drop the extra cash on some bypasses.
What will the travel difference be with the f55's vs the f67's?
u answered ur own question...

:nana:
but he said its better, its just easier to tune. doesnt mean its better

same ****, one just has more arch
Alright so they both will have the same amount of travel, the f67's just lift the rear more correct?
I'm not a 4wd guy, but I read somewhere you can fine tune the baja/50t pack..by pulling leafs till you get the right angle and height your lookin for

someone correct me if I'm wrong:shrug::thinking:
ya but I dont think you would be able to pull very many leafs before they become too soft. I'm just trying to clear up the whole f55 or f67 thing

ya they will give more lift since there designed for a heavier truck.
alright so what kind of travel will i see with the f55's?
the same as f67. depends how you set it up anywhere from 16-20.
alright you have to make new front hangers right?
alright you have to make new front hangers right?
you sure do.

Most people go with F67's btw. These leaf packs arnt designed to carry weight, there ment for travel and highspeed. So what do u think will happen once u drop a heavy bed cage out back with a couple spare tires and ect? It will cause them to sag down a bit. So if u plan on caging it out back id get the 67 otherwise ull be sitting pretty damn low with the 55's. Keep that in mind.

O and i know a couple guys pullin a little more then 20"s of travel with the deavers. Its all about how well u design the cage and set everything up. those springs have plenty of potential
