tried that,i narrowed it down to the master cyllinder, all the hardware in the rear is new and properly adjusted i just swapped out for my new drums as well,im gonna change the master cyllinder and see if that will fix it.

thanks
I'm not sure whether you mean (a) the rear brakes were permanently jammed 'on' or (b) they didn't disengage after they'd been activated.

Did you check to see if the e-brake linkage was jammed 'on'?

I don't know if a brake proportioning valve could be so screwed up or out of adjustment as to cause that. Have you done any mods that would have messed with or screwed up the BPV?
wasnt the ebrake, bpv is off the truck.and yes the rear brakes just would not fully disengage after being activated.:waytogo:

that is one of the dumbest things you could do on a truck you drive on road.

well call me dumb dumb.:selfbonk:

i only took it off to see if that was the problem.
any ways it was the master cyllinder, all is fine now, BPV IS ON the truck.

thanks to all that helped:waytogo:
could have also been a bad rubber line

but it wasnt,it was the main seal in the master cyllinder;)

i see. i thought you removed it permanently. i just find it really dumb of people that remove it completely on a daily driver. mine was removed by the previous owner when it was bagged, and because of that, i've spun out in emergency situations. not fun at all, especially when you wreck. :doah:
