Is there a company out there that has a kit to convert the rear drums to disks??? Is there any way to convert to disk in the rear??

is that really necessary? like will it help that much?
nothing is ever really necessary.. braking will improve im sure.. pads where always better than shoes... plus it just gives a much nicer look if you got nice rims... who wants to see those nasty ass rusted drums

even though easily painted... the discs are just better

Its from a kit to convert the older style axle to rear disc. I am about 99% sure I can make it work on a taco. I just need to verify it on a taco rear. As for performace, hands down 100% better. The biggest thing is to get the proportioning valve set right, otherwise the rear locks up befor eteh front and you dont want that. I've done it at 70mph on a 4lane raod when some dumb B$%#h pulled out in front of me. Talk about going sideways. Anywho, they look 10 times better behind the wheels too.

When you do a rear brake conversion you need to get change the psi to the rear brakes from 6psi. (stock) down to 2psi, Downey Off-Road sells it for like $30. You could also buy an adjustable brake proportioning valve for like $80.
TACO'S HAVE BRAKE PROPORTIONING VALVES IN THE REAR ALREADY, JUST NEED TO ADJUST THE ROD

oops, sorry about the caps, kids bangin on my keyboard again i guess
