QA1 Questions and Other Suspension Help

Hey Guys,

I am starting to install the QA1s on my 1996 Tacoma and had a couple questions.

1. The metal plates I had tried contacting a guy on Instagram but haven't heard anything back. Does anyone have dimensions or how thick they are I can just cut some out.

2. The top of the spring what rubber insulator did you use part number? The original is pretty much toast and doesn't fit very well.

3. I have the Lowr Control Arms off but I can't find any videos of taking out the bushing on a 2wd. I tried the ball joint press but I don't see a way to put pressure and hold it at the same time.

Any help would be great!

Appreciate it. I found him under @sdyota. I noticed you have videos of some plates at some point and you where using different bushings than stock do you have any info on those?
1996 Tacoma SR5 extended cab 4wd 3.4 Ltr automatic still on original suspension setup. Want to give it a 2 inch lift (level). I've seen hundreds of posts with all kinds of setups. I'm needing to replace or add leaf packs to the rear leaf springs because they are near flat. I'm needing to replace all shocks and front springs as well. Here are my questions - 1) With leaf packs claiming to add 2 inches, do I need 2 inch longer shocks or will the stock height do (considering there may be some settling with weight in it) - 2) To bring it close to level, should I get 2 or 3 inch longer coil overs or a 2 or 3 inch spacer? - 3) Will I need to upgrade the upper control arms to tubular due to upgrading the coil overs? - 4) Will I need differential drop spacers and a carrier drop kit for 2 inches? Everyone here local had shops do their work and are not that happy. I’m doing everything myself and don’t trust some of those shops because I’ve seen their shoddy work. Any input is greatly appreciated.

I did my front end not using those qa-1 shocks due to how shitty they are made ,I had them rebuild no less that 3 times each in 3 years .They are a crude shock design . I had custom springs made with shocks custom valved by doetsch tech .My truck is used for track days.
