Did you adjust the crossover (low pass filter) and the gain?
Did you adjust the crossover (low pass filter) and the gain?OK. So first i got a new head unit. I Wired that in and it works prefectly, all speakers good, everything. Then i just ran all the wires needed to make the amp and sub work. The amp powers on and works, and i know my sub is good because my friend showed me it worked in his truck. But when the sub is connected it acts like a speaker and barley fires at all. Its not loud what so ever and is NOT acting like a bass. I have a rockford 160a2 and a kicker 10". HELP PLZ

And its a 4ohm, same as the amp
As for gain and the punch bass:8. Internal Crossover – The internal crossover is used to delegate a specific range
of frequencies to the speaker system for optimum performance. The crossover
can perform three functions: High-Pass (HP), Low-Pass (LP), or Full Range
(FULL). The Punch 120 and Punch 160 utilize a 12dB/octave Butterworth
crossover fixed at 120Hz HP and 80Hz LP....
6. Gain Control – The input gain control is preset to match the output of most
source units. They can be adjusted to match output levels from a variety of
source units.
7. Punch Bass – The Punch Bass helps correct for acoustical deficiencies in the
listening environment. The Punch Bass allows a narrow band adjustment at
45Hz to help reproduce full range sound without excessive boost. The Punch
120 utilizes a switch that is adjustable at 0dB/+6dB/+12dB increments. The
Punch 160, Punch 250, Punch 360, Punch 500, and Punch 800 utilize a
control that is variable from 0dB to +18dB.
X2 :headbang:yah sounds like you have your amp settings wrong =D
nothing but lows should be coming out of your sub, so try finding a low setting on your amp.
