yeah the '04 stock on stock will be faster, but mod for mod the the '05 should be faster because of the larger moter and increased torque

 

stock vs stock a 2004 4cyl should be faster then a 2005 4cyl.

dont know, but the s/c 05 will be faster than the 04 i'm sure with the correct mods.

Stock 4.0L V6 has 240hp, right?
Seems like a properly tuned S/C 3.4L V6 can achieve 240hp as well.

So the older truck will definitely be faster.
