I vote for the black ones..
It stands out more imo

In general, I usually prefer darker rims. On a silver vehicle I like 'silver' rims just about as much.

Couple of points, though ... Some black versions of upscale rims are hard to distinguish from basic steelies (if looks are important to you). If you get all-black rims it can be difficult to make out the details of the wheel. If you want to show off the structure of the rims you might consider something 'dark' but short of deep black (like gunmetal).

Well, no - sorry ... All I did for the first illustration was to darken the area of the rims in your original photo.

To get any idea how different 'shades of darkness' can affect the looks of a set of rims, see the illustrations in my 2006 thread where I was trying to figure out how dark to powdercoat my rims:
