so i want to paint my drums on my 05 xrunner and i was just wondering what everyone paints theirs with....do i get caliper paint or can i just use regular flat black

same here. black engine paint. high heat. worked really good. i did like 2-3 coats. i didnt use any clear or anything.

Flat black engine paint. Did mine yesterday (again). Did them last year but they didnt look that good anymore.

I didnt clear coat em either, but somehow they turn out dirty quickly and tend to stay this way. How do you guys clean em?

I'd try something like VHT Heat resistant engine paint. But only in black to cover the rust. Red drums look ghetto.

You will see temps of 800+ F. Engine paint isnt quite up to par with those temps.

Try header paint, that will last for sure. Also I believe the VHT paint is cut out for the job
