I recently installed a hotshot header on my truck, and I basically just tightened the nuts on the header studs as tight as I could without straining with my socket wrench. I checked them all with a torque wrench and they were already over the factory torque specs. Is it ok to run with the studs like that, or do I need to back the nuts off and retorque them?

Yeah I agree, if you stretched a stud or started to bugger the aluminum threads it's too late now anyway. Might as well leave them alone, as long as you torqued them all evenly you're probably in good shape.

Don't worry about it.... remember to check them here fairly soon and see if they are getting lose... and go a little easier on them this time
