Wow ... Talk about a blast from the past ... :jawdrop: :runaway:

I'm trying to remember the last time I saw that sort of 'Vista Cruiser' roof window on a new mid-high canopy / topper / cap ...

1980's?

I know some manufacturers were still offering front-facing windows on those really tall (higher-than-cab) caps as late as the late 1990's or early 2000's. If I recall correctly, the really tall (and usually odd-shaped) ones with upper windows were sometimes advertised or referred to as 'cathedral' toppers.

I vaguely remember seeing that sort of slide-away rear door setup, but I don't remember it using quite so long a set of rails on the roof. It's actually a reasonable idea - trying to ensure the swing-up rear hatch can be moved completely out of the way for loading and unloading.
