You don't need to grind the center bolt off..

it's these little plastic nubs on the end of the middle leaf that attaches it to the main leaf,
grind or file those off..

unbolt the middle bolt(might need vice grips to hold the dowel pin side..don't squeeze it too hard and mess it up), then unbolt it..

slide leaf out.

re bolt the middle bolt/pin back..

and your done:headbang:

you're going to have to use a vice grip on one side to keep from turning, then use a wrench on the hex head and loosen. should come apart easy!
**** that vice grip crap, i drill mine off
1. drill hole in nut
2. hit with hammer ( repeat as needed)
3. insert new bolt/nut

i would only do this if you have the right size bolt to put in after cut off
why would you do all that work robert,
unless it's giving you trouble lol

not the right way to do it

hold the pin with vice grips or whatever you choose then just back the nut on the other side off. its not torqued very tight anyway. you might have to place a few washers in there on the nut side to take up the extra slack that the middle leaf made. i used a split lock washer as a spacer because its not as large (diameter) as a standard washer.

if you really want to cut it off, sit back have a beer and proceded with the correct method... cutting is entirely the wrong way to do it, and itll take wayyyy lmore time to do it to

Get a center bolt and nylock nut from Beefedtaco.:waytogo: I got a pair from him. His is threaded all the way so no need for washers. Just tell him how long bolt you need.
