High temp grease for input shaft or T/O brng...whats the best?

1854 Views 3 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  ToyotaTechGeek
I have about all my parts together to replace my clutch in my 98 2.7.
My Haines manual said to use high temp grease for the input shaft, t/o brng and fork but that sure seems vague to me.
I am wondering whats the best stuff to use?
I have been looking and saw Mobil 1 synthetic grease and Amsoil moly based synthetic heavy duty grease.
I only want to do this stuff once..lol.
So whats the best stuff to use or should I say whats the proper grease?
Or does it really matter what I use?

Well I opted for Redline CV-2 grease.
Got a very quick response from Redline.com about what to use.
I just use mobil 1 synthetic wheel bearing grease..
