Gas mi on modified taco\'s

i am wondering how good of gas mi some of you get with moded 2.4 2rz moters .....when i had a 22r and mod'd it (headers,exhaust,intake,flywheel ) i got pretty horrible gas mi compared to what i thought it would be...i kinda think it just that moter (22r) and i had a 4x4 ...any replies would be appreciated...trying to decide what all to do as far as mods,i drive alot and need good gas mi

I look at it this way, if you like modding your truck, why does it matter about your gas mileage? Just do what you want to it. A few extra miles per gallon isn't really that big of a deal. We all waste our money on other things but aren't concerned about that. Bolt on whatever you want and don't worry about it. If it gets bad gas mileage, are you going to stop driving it? NO. I have never kept track of my gas mileage and I'm almost 30.

some of the mods like air filter, exhaust claims they can give better gas mileage. i think part off this is true, but some case if you have mod in your truck you want to drive like maniac. More gas than normal driving.

i do understand...but with my 22r my gas mi dramaticly dropped..i guess im just asking ...if you have a modified 2.4 (headers exhaust and intake) do you think you get bad gas mi...alright gas mi..or good gas mi ,when i modified my 4x4 i went from good to bad,no in beetween

True, that's not good. I have the v6 though and honestly have no idea what kinda mileage I get.
