Front Shock Questions

813 Views 4 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  OGSpacePimp
I am fixin to do a 6" drop on the front of my truck (already got the b/j flip and fixing to put on some cut eibachs) I am looking for a little stiffer front shock so it doesn't rub the inner fenders constantly. I'm also looking for something that won't break the bank. Let me know what you all are running and how you like them.
Thanks

I have toxic drop shocks and I have a stiff ride. I had 215/35/18s in the front at a 6 inch drop and no rubbing whatsoever. I now have 205/50/17s and Im rubbing only on turns and big dips. I have to go to a 205/40/17 to have no rubbing. I think you have 20s so its more looking into having the right tire height to have no rubbing. Many also run KYB monomaxs too.:waytogo:
if you want a 6" drop on 20s you better just go ahead and tub the front with some trailer fenders...i used to have toxics in the front and they help quite a bit without riding too too harsh, but i'd still recommend just tubbing the front
Yeah I got 20x8.5 with a 22/35 on it now, but I am planning trading them in for some 18's and gonna run a 225/40. I am gonna lower it first on the 20's and see what it looks like but it probably won't even roll with them, much less try to turn.

This is kinda like my last stand before I bag it which then I will put some trailer fenders up front.

18s can be made to work, but honestly i ditched my inner fenders when i went to a 5" drop up front on my 225/40/18s because i would rub occasionally even at 3/4 so going 2 more inches i didn't even want to bother with it and just got to cutting...then eventually added the trailer fenders after getting real tired of soaking my filter when it rained, which it does A LOT here, lol
