:( yours was the only stock truck that I liked
Sorry to hear about your accident. Hard to believe your trucks totaled.
Dude that f*ckin blows . Its definately totaled but if I were you I'd buy it back and fix it. My 4Runner was worse and I got it all back together in a weekend, theres pictures of my damage in one thread and more pictures of how I fixed it. Good luck with what ever you decide.

Heres the damage thread:http://www.customtacos.com/forum/showthread.php?t=142697

dude that sucks:cry:, one less stepside
Oh crap ... :doah:

You're OK, right?

What does the police report say?
:doah: A rare truck too. Damn man. I am truly sorry for you.
I am fine, police report is not done yet, usually takes them a couple days so I probably won't be able to pick it up until maybe monday or tuesday. It was definitely NOT MY FAULT so I'm not paying a dime. The hard part right now is the fact that I am not sure how I'm going to get her put back together at this point. The frame is tweaked and the core support looks like a pretzel pretty much. Fan is jammed into the radiator...the whole 9 yards. I seriously doubt the insurance company is going to give me enough money to get her put back together no matter how much I yell and scream at them but at the same time the truck is not leaving. I am keeping it and it WILL be back on the street again...I just don't know when or how at this point.

Estimated damage from body shop is over $8,000

It's not completely stock...it just looks like it. Sad part is my truetrac never even made it in. It has a fidanza flywheel, competition clutch stage 4 sprung hub 6 puck, speed freak traction bars, and a doug thorley header. :waytogo:

Well, it fuggin looked good. :)
I'd make the fukkers insurance company replace with a similar model..
make them do the foot work, lets see how much they give ya..

I'm sure you can find a suitable replacement..

I would...but in all honesty it would take TONS of work to find a truck that is in the kinda shape mine is in. My frame was perfect, no rust, everything on it was top notch all the time. I'll have to take the stepside bed too and gauge cluster because another truck probably won't have a tach and definitely won't be a stepside...idk I'm kinda trying not to think about it right now because I really don't have a clue what's going to happen yet.
Alright so I talked to the insurance company today and it sounds like they're actually going to fix it which is good to hear. I'll know more in a couple days but I really wanna see my truck come back to life and it might be needing some upgrades like a fiberglass hood. Wanna build me somethin custom Dan?
Whatever you do dont take their first offer. The insurance company will definitely try to low ball you
I'm gonna get as much as I can out of them. I've already told them it has aftermarket parts which I personally installed and that they'll be hard pressed to find another one in the shape that mine is in for under what it would cost to fix mine. Not to mention the amount of work and time I've personally put into it just addressing little details like painting the frame every year with rust prohibitor or making sure my brake drums aren't rusty and the simple fact that the truck is just always kept in top notch condition. :waytogo:
Buddy of mine is in claims with a large insurance company that starts with the letter F and rhymes with charmers. He wants to leave because the insurance industry right now is being crunched by the economy. Not only in terms of falling premium dollars but also because pending claims that would normally be stretched out several years are being settled early because people need the money. Of course this means the companies will see smaller payouts in the future, they really don't count that.

Not only that but when money gets tight one of the first things the consumer cuts out is insurance.
