for some reason the tilt fuction on my drivers seat back support is only locking in on the left side. the right side of the back of the seat is popin in and out of place when leaned against. anyone ever experience this?

Yes, I've seen this happen... I've seen the following things cause it:

- broken ratchet / mechanism for holding the seat back in a given position
- too much play in the recline-hold mechanism (so one side isn't engaging)
- bent / distorted seat frame

To the extent the '04 FSM is any help at all.... The recline mechanism involves a 'reclining connecting pipe' (apparently some sort of rod) that extends between the tracks. The FSM warns that 'lock error' will occur if the tracks aren't coordinated (aren't releasing / latching / oriented in tandem). All it says is that if lock error occurs you need to disassemble the seat to readjust the tracks / mechanism. To do this you gotta break it down as far as removing the 'connecting pipe'. You then set up the tracks in position (relative to each other) and get 'em lined up (?) before re-installing the connecting pipe.

Yes, I know this sounds cryptic... No, the FSM isn't any clearer than that... You can check the JungleCode '03 Taco FSM pages to see the diagrams.
