I bought my '95 coma used and it is now 7 years old. With age comes scratches and I have probably a dozen scratches, which can be buffed and polished by a good detail shop, according to the guy at toyota. My question is: Does anyone have any idea what this might cost me? The guy at toyota refered me to a place but they are closed til monday.
I don't know an exact price but if you go to an auto zone and buy Meguires Skratch x fot the bad scratches and buy Mothers Clay bar kit, it will look really good. It made my paint glimmer! If that doesn't get it out, get it detailed but make sure that they do a couple coats of wax for longer protection!
Lanka is terrific stuff to help you perform perfect do-it-yourself scratch repairs. I don't sell the stuff or make money off this, I just use it and I love it. It's expensive @ $8/9 per oz., but it's worth it.
Langka is more of a solvent, it is used for paint touchup and I have used it, It works pretty well for chips, it just depends on what the scratch is like what your results will be.
