Check with the city or the district that the pothole is in. I know a few people who have encountered this same problem and the county,or state had to pay for repair or replacement of the rims. It is not your fault that the pothole is there, you pay taxes for the roads to be serviced. Just thought you might try looking into it.
that's true, in some states (including AZ) if you hit a pothole or something what you can do is explain your speed, time of day, and take pictures of the pothole night and day. They will pay for your rims if the pothole is determined the cause
