I don't know if it's my truck or what but with the combination of Gates 170 degree thermostat and 6 Triple ground Denso K20PBR-S10 the truck feels great.

The Thermostat keeps the coolant temp at 185 degrees.
The spark plugs are the same type as the K22PBR-S that URD sells but these are only 1 step colder (2 steps colder were carbon fouling) and the 10 at the end means a 0.039 gap instead of 0.044-0.043.

The throttle response is better and I feel more power at all loads.

If someone wants to try it this combo (Thermostat + gasket + 6 plugs) costs around $40 shipped at rockauto.com

Your truck just wanted some attention..
Awesome post, keeping peeps in the know. I have yet to put my 170 stat in, still running on two step colder plugs.

IMO too cold of plugs and they do not reach "self cleaning" temp, but I'm hoping my water/meth is keeping them clean. Wait, damn, you have water/meth, and they were still fouling up with carbon?

 I actually give it too much attention. I came across that combo after testing several spark plugs when the 2 steps colder were carbon fouling and I was using TRD 160 thermo. Remember that I was trying to use regular gas? it turned out to be a very bad idea, the truck felt like full of marbles, knocked like never before. So I went back to "premium" gas.
When I used the stock thermostat and 1 step colder IK20 the difference was noticeable but still felt power was missing. I tried 0.035 and 0.040 gaps and the last was best. Another problem was the hot stock thermostat was causing some knock at high gear/low rpm. installed the Gates 170 and the problem is practically solved, I'll probably add a couple of degrees of retard in the AIC controller.
Then I tried the K20PBR-S10 which comes with 0.03937 inches or 1mm gap and the 3 electrodes were somewhat like stock plugs that comes with 2.
The results were impressive, very glad I went through all the trouble.

Actually I'm using 100% water. But yes, with 50/50 they were carbon fouling.
