Just picked up my 00 taco 2.4l 5sp, 119xxx miles... great truck...

looks great runs great, but my question,

do carpet bed liners hold up to weather? ie Rain, Snow?

I had a BedRug brand in my GMC and I loved it but i had a Gaylord cover so it never seen any weather. I don't know how it would be if it was all wet, It might promote rust , I don't know.

Thanks for the reply.

Unfortunately i dont really care for the cap look (what i have now), but i'll wait until i get a decent liner before i take it off to prevent any type of rusting.

The carpet bed liners (e.g., BedRug) have been reported to being very durable. They are, however, vulnerable to (a) ripping / tearing (if abused) and (b) staining. If you intend to haul sharp or 'messy' things in the bed, you might want to think twice before using a carpet liner ... :thinking:
