Can anyone tell me how i can change out my efi to carburetion or where do they sell carb intake manifolds for 2rz?
i saw a pic of an LC tacoma motor and it was running carb.

Of course it can be done.. But the obvious / glaring question is.. Why would you want to..? It's more than likely not worth it by any means.. The biggest issue is ignition for the motor..

juss wondering cause my uncle wants carbs in his tacoma juss to be different. i also read on other sites that its impossible cause the jets are mounted on the head unlike the 22r the jets are mounted on the intake manifold

Jet's? you mean fuel injectors? They are on the intake manifold.

I agree, EFI is a lot more efficient and will produce more power and torque. :looney:

thanx for the info, and yea efi is more powerful cause i beat hilux running performance clutch, weber downdraft 2barrel carb, locked rear differential, shaved head, and 280 cam.
and can i also get you guy's oppinion on supercharged 2rz?

I don't know anything about the 2RZ, I have a 3.4L 5VZ engine that is supercharged & I love the extra power that I get from the TRD supercharger.

nice, they have TRD superchargers? i only found LCEngineering supercharger kit for 2rz.

yur running carb? yea its different , dont see alot of tacomas running carb , tacomas mostly efi with k&n intake system and headers or turbocharged, and i love the torque the 2rz gives performance wise with a stock motor, its similar to a 22r full setup.

Nope.. no carbs..
If you like the power it gives you now, carb's are just going to slow it down..
Stock their tuned pretty well.

I like the torque my fuel injection gives..
It's not "different", but different enough to move quicker.. :waytogo:

I dunno wat 22r you've drove but my rz will run circles around one. No were similiar on torque or power.
Wy not jus get a pre Taco an Carb it?? Waaaay easier an cheaper. Unless ur pockets have no bottem

i drove a 22r running 305 cam, port and polished head, stage 2 centerforce, 8pound flywheel, lockd rear differential, 44 mikunis sidedraft with nitrous 150shot and the body was chopped like crazy inside and out, and i raced a 2rz with turbo and i had to spray nitrous juss to cover some gap distance.

yea my pockets are tight cuz stil in school. all i got in my truck right now is a k&n filter and glasspack muffler and im still kiling hilux.

my tacoma can never stop impressing me, and i never touched the motor or anything and its performing very well.
tacomas are just amazing in all ways.

I love the powerband (and reliability) of my supercharged 3RZ @ 10 psi.
