How dark do you have them tinted? Can you post a photo?
One option would be to get the brightest red LED replacement bulb / array you can find.

Painting your taillights is an awesome idea..
Paint the one thing used to alert the people behind that your coming to a stop..
They are only driving a vehicle three thousand pounds or heavier.. no biggie..![]()
If someone painted their taillights dark enought to get pulled over,Pff hes got a third brake light for that :nana:
mine are tinted and my third is still red :waytogo:If someone painted their taillights dark enought to get pulled over,
I'm willing to bet he painted the 3rd as well
acetone? leds!
acetone is probally a lil too agressive for plastic. if he wanted to take the tint off and try again i would say to try some more mild wax and grease remover and if that doesnt do the job then get paint reducer. acetone, laquer thinner, nail polish remover, etc. are no go's on plasticacetone? leds!
I think he needs the housings also..I have a set of 01-04 lenses for sale hit me up.
Acetone is great if you don't care about any adhesives coming apart on what your working with.... :waytogo:Don't get Chris on his "acetone" rant. You'll never hear the end of it. Acetone is probably too aggressive for a plastic polymer, unless one doesn't car about the luster.
