just wondering if anyone has attempted to put 275/50/R18's on the stock rim, I've been told they may fit and if that's the case I want to do it.

I was curious too, I fit 315 width on the back of my Typhoon, that would be sweet if I could add a few inches of width on the rears of the XR.

just out of curiosity, why would you want to put 275/50's on the rears and not 275/40's???

275/50's would have a huge sidewall, and they would make the truck look like

--o-----O--

not to mention, it would throw the speedo way off (6.6% slower for the rear only; 746 RPM for stock vs 700 RPM for the larger tires)

Yeah or 275/40's would be cool too, I actually didn't think of the speedo difference.........but hey that's cool they fit anyway.

How would 285/30WR18 Kumho V710 R-compounds run on the XR?

315/35WR18?

245/35WR18 with the truck lowered up to 3 inches on the rear?

285/35/18 is good

315/35/18 is too wide for the tire, and u'd basically have to pay someone off to put em on, they would look like they're gonna blow off the lip

245/35/18 thats skinnier than stock.. why? if ur looking for lower profile for a drop, be sure u change ur speedo and get 255+ width and 30-40 sidewall

275/50, 275/45, 275/40 will all fit no problem, they will stick out past the lip a little more but not bad at all, i would go with 275/45...what ever you think you might like is what counts, but they will all fit and work... Hope this helps.
