some car washes have a underbody wash. I do not know how well they work but im sure they can do a better job than just a waterhose. If you have one try pressure washing under the truck too.

other than getting underneath , i dont know a solid way to do it. i crawl under mine once a week with my pressure washer and scrub it all down.

 

buddy of mine uses a little rig of pvc pipe hooked to a hose that has a wheel on one end so he can just sorta walk it back and fourth under the truck/trailor with the hose pressurizing things..

he just drilled a bunch of tiny holes in some pvc facing upwards..
then used a small bottle with soap and made somewhat of an IV drip that gets gravity fed in with the water..

next time I see it, I'll have to snap a pic..

He uses it to hose off the bottom of his boat when he comes back from using it..

 

i know some people that use a lawn sprinkler, the kind that sprays in a fan straight up and sweeps back and forth. seen the same method mentioned in a tech tip many years ago in Truckin magazine

 

that's the same method i've used and have many friends who do the same thing.

 

i get dirty and get under the ish, power washer.... might take a solid 10 minutes or more to really get it clean

 

Thank's Guy's so next time i go under there and wash it ill scrub it all down to get it clean and then power wash it let it dry and undercoat the whole Frame since the body is already undercoated! :waytogo:

 

umm,...I might've missed something, but how does hosing down the frame with a power washer get sand out from INSIDE the frame?

If you go to the Beach and go wheelin the salt in the sand does cause Rust. So my ? is,Is there any other way to CLEAN your Underbody besides waterhose? Because when i wash my Frame there is still sand in the inside of the Frame, So what is the best way to Get ALL of that Sand out without going under there with the waterhosse and getting SOAKED?!?!?! :shrug: :doah:

i use to four wheel in the mud but before we went i would spray armoral under neath and must of it would slide right off but you still have to wash under neath but not as much.

 

i might try that.,And do yall know how hard it will be to UnderCoat the upperside of the CrossMember's or how to do it? And after i clean the inside of my Frame out can i plug those HOLE'S up some how so when i go wheelin know Sand can get Trapped In there,Or do they serve a perpose? :shrug:
