Hi, I have a 99 taco, it needs a gauge lens so I am looking to upgrade to the white ones from the 01-04. I am running a TDI so the speedo and all that will be managed through my adapter hardware.

Does anyone know if I can use an auto cluster in my manual? I assume it just has gear position lights in between the gauges?

You are correct, both clusters are exactly the same save for the gear position lights. You can take the lens off and paint over that part. Any cluster from 98-04 should work, however it must be for the same cylinder count Tacoma or else the tachometer will not read correctly.
