(1) Welcome to CT! ... :waytogo:

(2) First off - you need to specify how much 'drop' you're looking to get. Lesser / milder drops may not require any bags or notching at all. There are different strategies, options, and tradeoffs depending on how much drop you're wanting.
thanks for the welcome.

sorry i should have mentioned how much drop i was thinking about. i would like to drop it about 4 to 5 inches. but the low rider in me would like to slam it to the ground :). i like the look of when its parked and it looks like its sitting on the ground. also when the front wheels are tilted in. i dont know what i need to do to get that look.

but ill probably end up doing just the simple thing and give it the easer and proably the cheaper of the two. i live in canada so snow in the winter is a prob. ive got 20 inch rims plus lowpro rubber on it now. and i would like to fill the wheel wells as the next gen tacomas sit pretty high up.
You might want to look for a set of drop spindles. And/or new coil springs. I wonder if the QA1 adjustable shocks would work with your truck. They will drop it a lot in the front if they can be made to work. They are usually used for a 69 Camaro FYI too. For the rear end you could use lowering blocks (up to 4"). And/or go to a spring shop and get them to de-arch your leaf springs a certain amount (up to 5"). You might want a notch in the frame above the axle. You'll have to excuse me if anything doesn't seem right, because I own a 92 and a 98 Tacoma. Not a new Taco. A lot of the time people lower their Taco and then realize they want to get it lower. Eventually it may lead to airbags. So if you think that will happen to you then it will help to plan ahead. For example the size of the frame notches above the rear end. Other things to look out for when lowering are the angles of the driveshaft and pinion and fender/wheel well clearances.
05+ use strut type front end, so QA1's out of picture

DJM + Sittin Sic stock height coils up front

rear needs a notch definetely and dearched leafs or blocks or combo of both

or pulled leafs

airbags..completely different story

If you pulled ANY leafs from the pack on a 05+, you will only have one leaf..
It'll ride like a pogo stick..

Stick to what you know Justin..

forgot to add 6 lug leaf in there
Nice cover up:lol: Good to see 'the toyota way' is in full effect. What is the Toyota way, you ask? It is an F1 racing term used by the Toyota team. It is a certain code where they don`t blame people for things. Instead everything stays completely factual and everyone works together to improve.
