'96 front bumper

I need to replace my front bumper for my '96 Tacoma, and i was wondering... do i need to replace the lower part beneath the bumper as well (the lower valence is what it is i think)? Or can i just replace the bumper and re-use the existing part? Any help is appreciated.

Yeh, I would think that you could just replace the bumper part, unless the bumper itself is damaged.

In fact, my new 95-97 4x4 bumper and valence came in today. It looks like the two are attached with a series of bolts between them.

eww..that doesn't make me feel very good. I tdon't think the one I got today is a pure Toyota part. Is there any way to tell?

Yep, I just looked and it DOES have the RDOT sticker. Cool..I feel better.
