5 lug UCA extenders..?

What's your input on these things?

Specs:

1-1/4" longer than stock, about 1/2" more than most aftermarket arms. They have to be this long.

Requirement to get rid of that extra 1/2" :

thick spacer washers & possibly longer bolts to be used with OEM adjusting shims. Or simply 1/2" steel spacers on each bolt to be used with OEM adjusting shims. Or just double the amount of OEM shims.

Pros:

The average guy can install them in his driveway with simple hand tools without the mess of having to press his cross shafts out and swap them to new arms. Sometimes requiring the need to destroy the stock arms to remove the shaft. Something I've always liked is how the stock arms come apart easily w/o the need to pop a b/j apart thanks to the 4 bolts with nuts.

Cons:

A little more leverage on the end of the arm, but I know they can handle it. We'll let roberts white lightning try them first.

Has anyone seen anything like this before? These are obviously for a static truck since the b/j angle isn't corrected for laying the truck out. This is just a funky idea and my other was to simply modify stock arms and send them with the shafts already in, but then I'd need the customers' in return. The reason for using OEM arms would be to keep them more affordable.

LOL, Brian's got a sticker waiting list Manny..

Looks cool brian.. intersteing idea there..
I had that same idea awhile ago when i had the b/j flip. No tools to really make it possible. No shims in my truck atm with chassis tech coils. If i can't get my alignment right i may need these.
how about making that piece curved a little bit. to correct the bj angle a little bit.

ya know like put a 30 degree bend in it or something? how much are they as is beefed? i like this idea.

i was thinking of making something to move the entire upper control arm up.
Is there any way to make it adjustable? My passenger side is cambered in more than the driver side. The turbo is in the way and i really cant remove the shims.

You'll be able to use shims again with these. Do you not have any room to spare down at the bolts where the shims are? (like a turbo right next to the bolt) Your bolt heads (where the shims are) will be about where they are stock when there are shims there, plus a 1/2" more due to the spacers required for these 1-1/4" extenders.

The reason for these is to get the arm out more on top, and to be able to use shims again. The 2 aftermarket arms I've seen offered for street 5-luggers are about 3/4" longer, and these are 1-1/4", so that extra 1/2" gets taken up by using either more shims than stock or 1/2" spacers, along with a normal amount of shims to get the alignment right.

are they free?
are they free?
Nope, these cost me time & money to make, in the real world nothing is free, you've gotta pay to play. I've already lost my ass on them and I haven't even sold them yet. Actually, I haven't even made the second one yet so these don't really even exist.
