2006 Gear Ratio
Hello, I need help finding the exact gear ratio I have. I am ordering a salvage front differential and I am not 100 percent sure what I have. The codes on the door plate are
C/TR 209/FA42
A/TM AO4/RA60
I am pretty sure it is a 3.72 but 1 in 4 dealers that I called told me otherwise.
It is for a 2006 tacoma 4X4, six speed manual V6

I though all v6 4x4 tacoma (1gr). Had 3.73.
I called the dealer
3.15 x-runner
3.73 all other v6 05+
4.10 i4 4x4
Didn't ask about the 2wd trucks. Not too common here.

The apparent ambiguity wasn't in the 2006 spec sheets - it was in my addled brain ... :silly:
Your 2006 V6 4X4 should have 3.727 final gearing both front and rear.
thanks alot, I have ordered a front differential for it. Just wanted to be absoloutely sure.
