Here is my 04 taco that i just picked up this week. I just painted the wheels black but im in need of new tires. I don't have a clue how big i can go. I searched the forums a bit but I dont know if people have lift kits or not when telling what size tires they have. Here are a couple pics stock suspension. Thanks for the help!

I may well be wrong, but ... That PreRunner seems to be sitting a bit tall for a stock suspension. Are you absolutely certain it's stock?

I know for sure that it is stock. I bought the truck from my youngest brother who bought it new. Maybe its the angle?
OK ... Like I said - I'm not sure at all ... To my eye it just looked a shade 'tall' to be 100% stock ...
Next question - what size are the tires that are on it now?

Well I'm no expert but the side of the tire says 30x9.50x15.... the dont look like 30's to me:shrug: but again i dont know what im talking about

Yeah I'm sure it's a prerunner. Any input on tire size guys?
Did you take off the wheel flares? I have a 2002 Tacoma prerunner stock. 2001 to 2004 are same. I currently have 265/70/16. Which seems to be the max tire size for that rim size. I currently got 17 inch stock rims from a 2006 and I am thinking about going for 265/16/17 to keep it at a more stock level. I think I might even be able to do 265/70/17 or a 265/75/16 for a 16 rim.
