Is it possible that you installed the fan on the wrong side of the clutch? Since you did work on that last, I'd look at that first. The shroud is very easy to get off and take a pic or something.

Is there a good way to pull the shroud without disconnecting the upper radiator hose? I've refilled my coolant multiple times within the past couple of weeks already I'm trying to avoid spilling some more. I'll have a look tomorrow I did not consider that. Thanks

Yes. The bottom portion of the shroud that extends rearward towards the fan snaps off with two little clips. Pull that off first, then take the bolts that hold the shroud off and you should be able to manipulate it out of there. It's a bit of a pain, but it can be done.

Another option is to unbolt the fan and let it fall into the shroud. Then remove everything together.
