18" on a 02 Prerunner?

Ok, so I was all planing on getting these nice looking wheels in a 16 and then some nice M/Ts in 265/75. Then I was told that 16s in those wheels would look stupid on my taco and I should get 18s and then adjust the tire size to fit.

So I guess the questions are... Can I get 18s and adjust a M/T size to fit? Would it look stupid on my '02 prerunner? If I can do it and if it wouldn't look stupid then what size tire would I need?:shrug:

I am looking at the Ultra Maveric wheels if you want to see them.

265/65-18 would be the direct match on both height and width for your previously mentioned 265/75-16.

I run an 18x8.5 with a 255/55/18 tire without issues.

edit: changed with to without.
