I'm looking at getting a sub for my 2008 double cab Tacoma, and all I see are 8" and 10" enclosures. I searched on here but couldn't find anything about if a 12" would even fit.

Thanks in advance for your help!

I would, but my friend has a 12" that he could give me a deal on since he doesn't use it anymore. He went from a truck to a Dodge Challenger and "doesn't want extra weight in it" haha
I just looked over the link, and if I can't fit the 12" i will for sure look at this! Thank you for the link!:waytogo:

Here another one by soundstream : http://www.soundstream.com/AudioProducts/Subwoofers/stealth.htm

I went with the Power Acoustik ( 700w max ), for my 03 double cab recently, sound pretty solid with a JL Audio 250/1 amp. The Soundstream box does looks nicer, its 200w RMS. Peak Power Handling: 400 Watts, not sure why PowerAcoustik is 700w max.
I had to do some hacking behind the seats, not too sure with the newer Tacoma.

Here a review on the Soundstream Stealth 13BX : http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/p_20701_Soundstream_STEALTH-13.aspx

Garbage ?? I just hooked up the Power Acoustik 13BX in my 03 double cab, and it actually sounds pretty soild, I had a hard time building those angled enclosure that small, plus you 'll going to need to buy tools and supply to build the box, of borrow from someone. Shops here charges 250.00 for a custom enclosure.

When I found those boxes online when I was doing my search, with only 5" bottom and 2.5" top I had to try it out.

Crazy TRD Sport, whatever you choose post back I would like to know what you went with...

Buy a bunch of tools? The only tools you need is a jig saw and a drill...or if for some reason you don't have a drill, a hammer will suffice. Supplies include wood glue, screws, and a silicon sealant if you're doing a sealed box, which are things a lot o people have laying around in their garage.

Building an enclosure is the best way to go 90% of the time.

jig saw and drill? wtf are you making, a stool in woodshop? thats fcuking ghetto, he'd be better off with the prefab box listed.

try doing it right with a table saw (or skil saw and straight edge), router (or jigsaw), bar and corner clamps, drill and bits.

dont use silicone (even if you do find it laying around your garage :looney:) use either caulking or resin
